Flowplant BCP - Corona Virus (COVID-19)
As the threat from the corona virus grows in the UK and abroad I wanted to write to you and tell you the steps we have taken at Flowplant to keep our colleagues, our customers, our business and your business as safe as we can.
Our manufacturing plant and our customer service centres remain open and we have introduced enhanced cleaning policies that include regularly sanitising desk top items, shared work tools and shared spaces. We have also introduced a split shift system in our production areas with two teams operating separately, one in the morning and the other in the evening.
Our mobile service engineers are currently operating normally. As usual they will carry out a risk assessment when arriving on your site and if for any reason they have concerns regarding Covid-19 they won't come in. Similarly, if you have a service booked and you have reason to suspect that someone on your site may have contracted the virus please let us know immediately and we will re-book the visit for another time.
If you need to come to one of our sites please ring us first so we know you're coming and can prepare. Obviously if you are feeling unwell please stay away until you are fully recovered.
Our Regional Sales Managers are still working but we have asked them to stop face to face meetings and to use the telephone or video conferencing facilities wherever possible.
In the sales office everything is currently working as normal. We have split into two separate teams, each with the necessary expertise to handle your enquiries. To minimise contact within teams the vast majority of us are working from home and our production system allows us to quote, take orders and despatch items remotely. We hold all of our fast moving spares in stock so we are not experiencing any serious shortages at the moment. We are monitoring disruption in our supply chain and will maintain normal service levels for as long as we can.
Clearly the situation is extremely fast moving and we will update you if and when the situation changes. In the meantime keep safe and remember we're here and ready to help.
