Flu vaccines are given yearly as the immunity to flu vaccine wanes (decreases) over the course of about 6-8 months. We strongly recommend waiting until at least early September to get a dose of Flu vaccine to make sure that you are appropriately covered through the season. We will open our flu clinics starting in mid September for this reason.
In order to accomodate as many families as possible, we will be increasing our number of flu clinics this fall. We also plan to run some drive-up clinics if the weather cooperates.
Flu clinics will be announced through MyChart, Constant Contact, and Facebook as soon as we receive our supply of vaccine. ALL SEPTEMBER CLINICS will be scheulde ONLY on MyChart. If you do not have an account, please call our office prior to September 1 and our staff can help you create one.
If you choose to receive your flu vaccine elsewhere (on a college campus, at school, or at another center), please contact your provider via MyChart with the date and location of administration, and we can enter this into the medical record for proof of vaccination and return to school.
