Private lessons
If you’d rather work one-on-one with an instructor or coach, we offer private lessons. The cost is $45 for a 30-minute session for one person or $55 for a two-person session. Contact Pete for more information.

Masters swimming
Don’t let the name “Masters” fool you. Our Masters program is geared to any adult who wants to be coached, whether in the most basic stroke technique or with a hard workout on a fast interval.

You can even give it a trial run or buy a la carte sessions. Learn more about our Masters program here
Here's what people say about adult programs at the Flying Fish
“I brought my girls here for lessons and then swim team, but I had a terrible fear of the water myself. I finally said, I have to do something about this. I can’t be this scared of the water. I started with a few private lessons and then I came to Masters. Anne, JoAnn and Pete were so gentle with me. They recognized that I needed to take things slowly, on my own terms. They were just so forgiving, as were the other swimmers. Nobody laughed! I will forever be grateful to this place both for my girls and for me.”
Tricia

“The YWCA is such a friendly and supportive place. There’s a feeling of camaraderie that’s just delicious. A few lessons really helped me and it’s not a big investment. Parents are happy to have their kids take lessons, but we don’t do it for ourselves. Swimming is like a form of meditation for me now. My stress just evaporates in the pool.”
Carol

“Our Masters program takes all levels of swimmers from very beginners to very advanced swimmers. We don’t put any pressure on anyone. We generally don’t go to meets, but if you want to compete, you can. We have some swimmers who really couldn’t swim when they joined Masters, and now they’re totally capable in almost all four strokes.”
