No swimming on Monday, January 18
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our pools will be closed. There will be no lap swimming or private sessions this Monday.

Update on swimming options
The Flying Fish aquatics program is still adhering to the state's Covid-19 mitigations that went into effect in November.

In order comply with these mitigations, we are currently offering lap swimming for older swim team members -- via Community Pass -- and private, 30-minute coaching sessions for younger swimmers.

We also offer opportunities on weekends for families to rent the entire small pool for 50 minutes.

We continue to monitor state public health guidelines and situation updates. If it becomes possible to expand our offerings, we will let you know.

For more information about current offerings, contact Pete.
Reminder about pool entrance and parking

Due to construction at the YWCA, the only entrance to the pool area is through the door to the big pool off of Ridge Avenue. The door currently has a tent over it to help with inclement weather.

The drop off and pick up area remains to the immediate north of the pool entrance. (The path from the drop off and pick up area to the pool door is shown in yellow.)

Parking is not allowed in the drop off and pick up area.

Ridge Avenue is at the bottom of this depiction.
Covid-19 protocols and updated travel guidelines
We are grateful to Flying Fish families for your care and concern with regard to our Covid-19 protocols. As a reminder, as part of these protocols, we do not have available locker rooms and anyone entering the building must be masked at all times unless they are swimming.

And, while local authorities recommend against travel right now, if you do travel, please adhere to the City of Chicago's updated guidelines, which require a negative test no more than 72 hours prior to arriving in Chicago or quarantining for 10 days once you return from another state.
Thank you for donating Target gift cards
Thank you to members of our Flying Fish community who donated Target gift cards so the women served by YWCA Evanston/North Shore's domestic violence programs could shop for holiday gifts for their families.

Your generosity made their holidays brighter!
