Thursday, October 31: No PM practices.
Wednesday, November 6: Michigan Shores meet. See below.
Friday, November 15 - Sunday, November 17: SWAQ Triple Crown meet. See below.
Friday, November 22 - Sunday, November 24: HPAC meet. See below.
Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29: No practices.
Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8: NASA Blast Off meet. See below.

Practice changes ahead

Saturday, October 26: Blue and Gold will have different practice times due to the swim meet. Gold will practice 9:45-11 am and Blue will practice with Iron 1-2:15 pm.
Thursday, October 31: No PM practices due to Halloween.
Tuesday, November 5: Look for a few practice changes due to Election Day.
Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29: No practices due to Thanksgiving. Also look for a modified schedule on Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1.

Facility updates, season extended

Thank you for your patience during our recent shutdown. To read an overview of the situation, the safety measures in place and other updated information, click here.

Also, due to the shutdown, we will be extending the fall season one week, with Sunday, December 15 now being the last day.

Locker room etiquette

Parents and caregivers: In the interest of safety, please remind your swimmers to keep the locker rooms uncluttered and fairly clean after use.

If swimmers are renting lockers, all equipment should be stored inside of them after practice.
Swimmers can also purchase mesh bags in which to store equipment on the pool deck.
Empty shampoo bottles, etc. should be thrown away and soap on the shower floors should be fully rinsed.
Suits, goggles, kickboards, water bottles, etc. left in locker rooms or on the pool deck will be put in the lost and found. After an extended period of time, these lost and found items will be donated elsewhere.

Good luck to all of the Flying Fish swimmers who are representing their high schools in upcoming IHSA championship meets. We look forward to welcoming you back!

For high school girls who are planning on swimming in the latter part of our fall season, please email Pete to confirm your spot by October 26. You must register on Community Pass before attending your first practice.

Please also let Pete know by October 23 if you'd like to attend any November or early December meets.

Morning sessions for all swimmers; check in by 7:45 am.
Registration is closed. An email from Pete with more details for participants was sent October 17.

Michigan Shores Club meet @ YWCA Evanston/North Shore

Wednesday, November 6

Eligible groups: Yellow, White, Copper, Silver.

Warmup at 5:15 pm; meet starts at 5:45 pm.
No need to email Pete first. Pay the meet fee of $20 and sign up directly through Community Pass by November 4.
Our team is limited to 55 swimmers for this meet.

SWAQ Triple Crown @ Niles North High School, Skokie

Friday, November 15 - Sunday, November 17

Eligible groups: Blue, Iron, Gold, Diamond and high school swimmers. (Blue and Iron should choose between this meet and the HPAC meet November 22-24.)

Friday PM - 13-over, distance events; 4:15 check in; warmup at 4:30.
Saturday/Sunday AM - 12-under; 6:45 check in; warmup at 7.
Saturday/Sunday PM - 13-over; 11:45 am check in; warmup at noon (these times subject to change).
Email Pete and pay meet fee of $45 through Community Pass by October 24.
Our team is limited to 80 swimmers.

HPAC meet @ Highland Park High School, Highland Park

Friday, November 22 - Sunday, November 24

Eligible groups: White, Red, Blue, Iron, Silver, Gold, Diamond (Blue and Iron should choose between this meet and the Triple Crown meet November 15-17.)

Friday PM - 13-over, distance events; 4:45 check in; warmup at 5.
Saturday/Sunday AM - 9-10, 11-12; 7:45 check in; warmup at 8.
Saturday/Sunday PM - 8-under, 13-over; 1:15 check in; warmup at 1:30 (these times subject to change).
Email Pete and pay meet fee of $55 through Community Pass by October 28.
Our team is limited to 80 swimmers.

NASA Blast Off meet @ Northwestern University, Evanston

Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8

Eligible groups: Blue, Red, Iron, Gold, Silver, Diamond and high school. (Whitefish who have participated in away meets maybe also be eligible. Check with your coach.)

Saturday/Sunday AM - 9-10, 11-12; check in 7:45/warmup at 8.
Saturday/Sunday PM - 8-under, 13-over; check in/warmup time TBD.
Email Pete to confirm and pay meet fee of $55 through Community Pass by November 15.

This meet no longer has qualifying times as it has in past years.
