You'll find the complete schedule for our Fall II season here.
Thank you, Oz Relay swimmers
Thank you to all of you who participated in the Oz Relay this past weekend. Despite this year's unusual circumstances, the event was still a fun time in support of a good cause. Thank you swimmers, FF alums, parents, grandparents, siblings and everyone else who swam or donated.

You raised $15,000 to support Flying Fish aquatics programs!

Time trials this weekend
We will offer more opportunities this Thursday through Sunday for some groups to participate in sanctioned time trials during regular practice times. Coaches will let groups know if they are participating.
Flying Fish hats, sweats, flannels and shirts are in
If you ordered Flying Fish gear via Community Pass, please email Coach Anne about setting up a pickup time or let her know if it's okay to send items home with your swimmer.

Parkas, which were ordered through All-American Aquatics, have not yet been delivered.
Good luck, high school boys
We wish all of our Flying Fish boys the best of luck as they start their high school seasons next week. No matter your high school, we'll be rooting for you and looking forward to welcoming you back in February.
New season of youth water polo starts November 15
Our next offering of Sunday water polo for 9-12 year olds will include all genders in one group, gathering from 1-1:45 pm on Sundays. The group will have a maximum of 10 and will meet in the small pool. No water polo experience is necessary.

More details on Sunday water polo:
Dates: Sunday, November 15 - Sunday, December 20 (six weeks)

Time: 1-1:45 pm (all genders together)

Cost: $105

Please email Pete to confirm your spot. Once you have confirmed, you'll register via Community Pass. Our updated Covid-19 protocols, including arriving ahead of time for check-in wearing a swimsuit and a mask/face covering, remain in effect for water polo.

Participants need to bring their own water polo balls. If you need a ball, we are selling used polo balls via Community Pass for $15.
Interested in a snorkeling class? Let us know
If there is enough interest, we'll host a one-time snorkeling class on Sunday, November 22 from 5-6 pm. The class is geared to swimmers ages 9-12 and will cost $30.

Participants will need to provide their own snorkels, masks or goggles, and fins. Elmer's Watersports, which will conduct the class, sells these items. Used fins are also available for purchase on Community Pass for $20.

If you're interested in this class, email Pete.
You can still "lend a hand" this year -- with a Target gift card
Every year, during the holiday season, the YWCA community -- including Flying Fish families -- comes together to provide holiday gifts for the women and children in YWCA Evanston/North Shore's domestic violence shelter and longer-term housing known as Bridges. We call this the "Lend a Hand" program.

In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, the YWCA will not collect specific gifts this year with "mittens." Instead, we're asking people to donate Target gift cards. These cards will be given to the women in our shelters so they can shop for their families on their own.

If you are currently swimming with us, you can bring a gift card to the YWCA when you arrive for practice and give it to a coach.

If you are not currently swimming with us or would prefer another option, you can mail a Target gift card to Trimmy Stamell, YWCA Evanston/North Shore's director of corporate and foundation relations. The YWCA mailing address is 1215 Church Street, Evanston, IL 60201. If you have questions, please email Trimmy or call her at 847-864-8445 x121.

All Target gift cards should be sent to the YWCA by Sunday, December 6.

Thank you for making the holidays brighter for the women and families we serve.
