Practice changes ahead

Saturday, November 16: No regular Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Blue practices. Gold, Platinum, Thunder/Lightning not attending the SWAQ meet can practice 10-11:15 a.m. Blue not attending the meet can practice with Iron at 1 pm. Along with Iron, other Saturday afternoon practices are on their regular schedule.
Monday, November 25 - Sunday, December 1: Look for a modified schedule soon due to Thanksgiving.

Registration for winter now open

Current swimmers can now email Pete to confirm their spot for the winter 2024-2025 season of the Flying Fish swim team, which starts December 16 and ends March 9. You'll find the winter practice schedule and other info here.

Please email Pete and register on Community Pass by Saturday, November 30.

Most FF swimmers will need to renew their USA Swimming memberships for 2025 in order to attend practices and meets beginning January 1. (If you were new to the team in the fall of this year, your membership is current for 2025.)

You can renew your membership for 2025 through your existing USA Swimming account. If you don't yet have an account, you will be asked to create one.

HPAC meet (Highland Park H.S.) - Friday, Nov. 22-Sunday, Nov. 24
NASA Blast Off (Northwestern) - Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8
Intra squads at YWCA Evanston/North Shore - Tuesday, Dec. 10, Wednesday, Dec. 11 and Thursday, Dec. 12

Note: The Michigan Shores meet originally scheduled for December 11 has been rescheduled for February. See below.

LFSC meet (RecPlex in WI) - Saturday, Jan. 4 and Sunday, Jan. 5
New Trier Invite (Northfield campus) - Saturday, Jan. 25 and Sunday, Jan. 26
Michigan Shores meet (at YWCA Evanston/North Shore) - Wednesday, Feb. 5
Windy City Champs (location TBD) - tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23
Intra squads at YWCA Evanston/North Shore - early March, dates TBD

Other winter meets include Illinois Swimming regional and state championships late February through mid-March, and the Sunkissed Invitational in Charlotte, N.C., March 27-30.

SWAQ Triple Crown meet @ Niles North High School, Skokie

Friday, November 15 - Sunday, November 17

Eligible groups: Blue, Iron, Gold, Diamond and high school swimmers.

Friday PM - 13-over, distance events; 13-14 swimmers arrive by 5:45 pm and 15-older swimmers arrive by 6:45 pm.
Saturday/Sunday AM - 12-under; 6:45 check in; warmup at 7.
Saturday/Sunday PM - 13-over; 11:45 am check in; warmup at noon (these times subject to change).

HPAC meet @ Highland Park High School, Highland Park

Friday, November 22 - Sunday, November 24

Eligible groups: White, Red, Blue, Iron, Silver, Gold and Diamond.

Friday PM - 13-over, distance events (our team is not attending the Friday PM session).
Saturday/Sunday AM - 9-10, 11-12; 7:45 check in; warmup at 8.
Saturday/Sunday PM - 8-under, 13-over; 1:15 check in; warmup at 1:30 (these times subject to change).

NASA Blast Off meet @ Northwestern University, Evanston

Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8

Eligible groups: Blue, Red, Iron, Gold, Silver, Diamond and high school. (Whitefish who have participated in away meets maybe also be eligible. Check with your coach.)

Saturday/Sunday AM - 9-10, 11-12; check in 7:45/warmup at 8.
Saturday/Sunday PM - 8-under, 13-over; check in/warmup time TBD.
Email Pete to confirm and pay meet fee of $55 through Community Pass by November 15.

Eligible groups: all fall season swimmers age 14-younger.

Thursday, December 12: 12-14 year olds; 5:45 pm check in and warmup.
