Holiday practice schedule begins Monday

We are on a modified schedule from
Monday, December 23 - Friday, January 3. You'll find our holiday practice schedule
here.
Please note these practice additions to the holiday schedule for next week:
- Monday, Dec. 23: Thunder/college - 9:30-11:30 am; Diamond/Platinum - 11 am-12:30 pm
- Tuesday, Dec. 24: Thunder/college - 10 am-noon; Masters - noon-1 pm.
We are back on our regular schedule on Saturday, January 4.

Join us for a "pop up" Flying Fish gear sale tonight (Friday, 12/20) in the lobby of the YWCA from
5-6:30 pm. We'll have limited quantities of new gear (hoodies, flannel pants, t-shirts) along with vintage Flying Fish items.
No new orders will be taken. Cash/checks are preferred, but credit cards will also be accepted.

Join us for Saturday's Flick and Float
|
We're now offering our Flick and Float party on Saturday, December 21, not only to 12-overs, but also to
10- and 11-year-olds who have their parents' permission.
Here are the details:
- Saturday, December 21, 3:15-5:30 pm, we'll be showing "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" in the small pool for up to 25 swimmers.
- The fee is $20 (payable to YWCA Evanston/North Shore) and it includes pizza.
- Please respond to this email or email Pete if you're interested in attending.

- New: The LFSC meet at the Rec Plex January 11-12 will be one AM session on both days (check in at 7:45 a.m.) for all age groups. Our original meet schedule had an AM and PM session.
- The Sunday 10-under session of the YMCA/YWCA meet (Jan. 19 at the YWCA) will now be a PM session, with warm up beginning at 1 pm.
- February 7-9 we will be splitting the team and attending two separate meets. All Diamondfish and 13-overs who signed up for the Highland Park meet will now be entered in a prelim/final format meet hosted by Swift at Niles North High School. All other swimmers will remain entered in the Highland Park meet. Details to follow.
- Note this change to the Highland Park meet: All 9/10s and 11/12s will swim in in the AM sessions. (The original meet schedule has 9/10s in the PM sessions.)

Private instruction available over the holidays
|
Although we have limited hours during the holiday season, several coaches will be available for private instruction December 23-January 3. The cost is $40 per 30-minute session.

Parents, if you're looking for a way to jumpstart your New Year's resolutions for personal growth and fitness, check out these Flying Fish Aquatics opportunities for adults:
- Adult swim lessons - Sundays, 8:45-9:30 am; 5-week session for $85 begins January 12;
- Masters swimming - drop in for $15 or buy a 10-session pass for $135 if you don't want to fully commit. Learn more about Masters and view the schedule here.
- Workout group - join other adults who want to swim for fitness at their own pace; Fridays at 2 pm and Sundays at 8:30 am; beginning January 10.
