For the calendar
YWCA Evanston/North Shore is closed. Currently, we are planning to start our spring season on Monday, April 13. We will keep you updated if this changes.
Spring season information
We are planning to begin the spring season on April 13. You'll find our spring practice schedule, including fees, here but ignore the start and end dates because they are now outdated.

If you have questions about the spring season and registration, please email Pete.
Sign up for lifesaving classes
Swimmers ages 15-over are invited to take our Red Cross lifesaving class, which will meet April 18-19, and April 25-26. Due to the uncertain nature of the weeks ahead, these dates may be subject to change. Learn more about the class here.

Fish out of water -- ideas for the days ahead
Looking for ways to stay connected to swimming and keep your spirits up while we're closed? Check these out:

  • The Positive Coaching Alliance posted a statement about how to help young athletes deal with the loss of their sport/season due to the coronavirus. They also were part of an informative podcast on the same topic.

  • Go Swim TV, which produces inspiring, instructional videos about swimming, is offering free access during the next several weeks. You simply have to set up an account. (Parents: You may have to set up the account in your name if there are age restrictions.)

  • Finally, if you have ideas, stories, photos, or anything else about how to cope as a Fish out of water, send them to Pete or reply to this email and we'll share them in the next issue of the Flying Fish News.
