Clean up
Cottonwood Falls
Sunday, September 22, 2024
12.30-3.30pm
Cottonwood Falls Park, 199 Carbonate Street, Nelson, BC
As BC Rivers Day approaches on September 22nd, we're excited to invite you to a hands-on opportunity to make a real difference .
During water quality monitoring work recently, volunteers noticed an abundance of trash in and around the creek from CP Rail Property to Kootenay Lake. So, we’re organizing a clean-up event at Cottonwood Falls Park and we would love for you to join us!
Your enthusiasm is needed for a successful cleanup day. Let's work together to enhance the beauty of our local creek and make a positive impact on the health of the Lake's ecosystem.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing (and shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirty)
- A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
- Extra cleanup supplies if you have them (gloves, buckets, trash pickers, etc.)
- A big smile and a positive attitude!
What We’ll Provide:
- Essential cleanup supplies (gloves, buckets, trash pickers, etc.)
- Refreshments and snacks to keep your energy up
- A chance to connect with fellow eco-enthusiasts
We'd love you to RSVP to our Facebook event and sign our online waiver beforehand!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
