Unison Prayer

Father God, we thank you for your faithfulness throughout the generations. By faith, we see your mighty hand in creation and in the lives of your people throughout history. By faith, your children have followed you through the wilderness. By faith, your people have called out to you for peace and mercy. By faith, we call out for the helping hand of Jesus. By faith in Him, your children have been rescued from sin. Help me to have faith in your promises. Help me to fix my eyes on you as I boldly step forward. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Call to Worship

L: Beloved disciples, welcome. As we gather, what are you seeking?                                                   P: We seek God’s presence.

L: Beloved disciples, if God’s presence is all around us, what are you seeking?                                                   P: We seek to recognize God’s presence among us.

L: Beloved disciples, if God is among you, what are you seeking?                                                    P: We seek God in the faces of family, friends, and neighbors.                                            L: Beloved disciples, if God is in the face of your neighbor, what are you seeking?                                                     P: We seek God in the search and the work for peace and wholeness for all God’s creation.                                                            L: As we gather today, may we meet God in our seeking and in our finding.                                                                                          ALL: Amen.

Why is there a mobile fire pit set up in the Narthex?

It is to remind you to come to Grace on Tuesday night at 7pm for "Prayers around the Fire". Bring your lawn chairs, your bug spray, and your prayers to be lifted up as we gather together around the fire. This is a casual event, and all are welcome!

If you cannot attend but would like to submit a prayer to be shared, please contact Pastor Jen by the usual methods.

Please join us in worship on the 20th as we welcome the newest members to our faith community!

Mission Giving for August

In August our missional giving will go to a number of projects that will benefit our teachers, school support staff and students. We are still working out the details with a local school, but we hope that you will be generous as usual to support "Back to School" missions.

We are very grateful for the wonderful gifts given during our special offering time on the 6th. This has given us a wonderful base to start from as we make decisions on how best to use these gifts for both teachers and students in our community. We continue to dream as these blessings unfold throughout the month.

I want to express my gratitude for the many hands who made our combined service with Our Savior's Lutheran Church such a success.

To the ushers and greeters, that you for making our guests feel welcome!

To the guys in the parking lot, thank you for managing the chaos and making it work!

To the voices who sang with the OSL choir, thank you for the extra rehearsal time that you gave!

To the communion servers, thank you for your help, and I am so sorry that I forget to give you communion!

To those that brought in extra treats, served, and cleaned up, thank you!

To the Grace family as a whole, thank you for showing the Pequot Lakes what it looks like to be God's people together!

--Peace and love,

Pastor Jen

We wanted to take time to thank those of you who responded to our recent letter from the Finance Committee alerting you to Grace UMC’s financial needs.  It is such a blessing to know that we can count on you.

Your support is invaluable to us. Your consistent giving to the general fund supports our programs, maintains our church building and grounds and provides materials and much more. We are grateful to all of the church’s donors. With your help, we can continue to reach out to our community with the love of God.

Watch for a financial quarterly update in the E-Grace soon.

Sincerely

Finance Committee of Grace UMC
