Gov. Parson tours bridges
to highlight infrastructure investment
Gov. Mike Parson visited three bridge replacement projects this week to highlight his focus on investing in Missouri infrastructure. Each bridge is in poor condition and has outlived its useful life.

These stops in Warrensburg and Joplin follow a string of good bridge news for Missouri.

The Missouri General Assembly this year appropriated $50 million to replace 45 poor bridges throughout the state.

In July, the department was awarded an $81.2 million federal grant to build a new Missouri River Bridge in Rocheport. This grant triggered $301 million in bonding authority to repair or replace another 215 bridges.

Then, in August, Missouri secured a $20.7 million federal grant for 40 bridge replacements in rural northern Missouri. Learn more.

Share the road this harvest season
Be on the lookout for slow-moving farm vehicles this fall.
Often, crashes occur when a driver hits a farm vehicle from behind or when a farm vehicle is attempting to make a wide left turn. Loads on farm vehicles may be wider than other vehicles. Be patient and remember that farmers are just doing their jobs.  Read more.

Have you thought about becoming a donor?
Vital organs and tissues can be donated for transplant. Thousands of people die or suffer needlessly each year due to a lack of organ and tissue donors. A transplant is often the only hope. A single donor can save the lives of up to eight people and enhance the lives of at least 50 others. Learn more by going to the "How Can I" section on MoDOT's website.
