SMUD Virtual Energy Assessments
As the world changes, SMUD has worked hard to adapt in-person energy assessments to a virtual format to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols to keep our businesses, customers, and employees safe. 
 
SMUD is offering free energy assessments, conducted by regional representatives alongside with you, is an opportunity to examine your facility to discover opportunities for energy savings and recommendations that can lead to cost-savings on your monthly bill. The great news is, SMUD representatives are still able to offer this valuable service, but now contact-less and virtual.

Learn About Serving Your Community
Are you interested in serving your community? Citrus Heights encourages residents to become involved in their local community.
You can make a difference by serving in an advisory capacity on the Planning Commission or Construction Board of Appeals.

You must be a Citrus Heights resident to apply for any Planning Commission or Construction Board of Appeals position.

The City is accepting applications to fill terms expiring December 31, 2020.
  • Planning Commission - 4 Positions (2 or 4 year terms)
  • Construction Board of Appeals - 3 Positions (4 year term)

How to apply:
  1. Download or complete an online application at www.citrusheights.net or obtain one from the City of Citrus Heights, 6360 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights.
  2. File the completed application with the City Clerk's Office by Friday, December 4, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
  3. The application process includes a video interview. The City Clerk will notify all applicants of the time and process for conducting the virtual video interview.
  4. Applications and videos will be distributed to the City Council to make their appointments at the January 14, 2021 City Council meeting.

Sacramento County Public Health is hosting a free flu shot clinic at the Citrus Heights Community Center (6300 Fountain Square Dr., Citrus Heights) on Thursday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free flu vaccinations will be available on a walk-in basis to all those over six months of age without medical contraindications to the flu shot.
The City of Citrus Heights is in the process of updating the Housing Element of its General Plan. Updated every eight years, the Housing Element outlines how the City plans to meet existing and projected future housing needs for all segments of the community and will govern housing policy between 2021 and 2029.
