Joy and Rasheeda presented about the Parent Workshop on Early Reading Skills, a family workshop co-developed by Read by 4th, the District, and other partners. The workshop helps families learn about how children learn to read and ways they can support early literacy at home. FACE Liaisons have been trained to provide this popular workshop at District schools around the City, which has been delivered dozens of times this year alone. Congratulations to Joy and Rasheeda and thank you to Read by 4th for their continued partnership! | | W.D. Kelley Elementary School recently hosted a successful Family Literacy Night, led by FACE Liaison Rasheeda Polk. The "Scholastic: Spotlight on Reading" workshop provided families with practical strategies and engaging activities to boost literacy at home, demonstrating how interactive read-alouds can make reading time magical. Parents enjoyed learning expert tips and accessing valuable resources to support their children's learning, all while sharing a meal and building community.
