Wondering about your legal rights as a grandparent or kinship caregiver raising a child in our city? Check out our workshop and learn more. You’ll get an overview of the legal rights of seniors raising a child and learn definitions; you’ll understand the needs of families, and we’ll review practical legal tips and resources that can be used by grandparents and/or kinship caregivers who are helping to raise our students.

FACE’s Ultimate Guide to Report Card Conferences for Families
Did you know? Report card conferences will take place again from February 1st to February 3rd. These conferences are a great opportunity to learn about where your child is academically, while building a relationship with their teachers. The Office of Curriculum and Instruction would like to invite families and students to participate in a feedback session on a draft of the District's first STEAM Guide. The purpose of the guide is to define STEAM and provide guidance to provide rich STEAM learning in all schools so every student in Philadelphia is empowered to tackle the challenges of today and build our tomorrow. My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Action Academy aims to close the opportunity divide for Black men and boys in Philadelphia. This day long event will bring together government and community leaders to offer workshops, resources, and networking opportunities across the city that are relevant to Philadelphia’s Black men and boys.
While the Black Generational Wealth Series is targeted toward Black men, all residents are welcome to attend and all events are free.
