$3 million challenge grant announced for Main Library renovation project in downtown South Bend
The Judd Leighton Foundation will provide $3 million to match private contributions made to the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County toward the planned major renovation/expansion of the St. Joseph County Public Library’s flagship site in downtown South Bend.

ILF's Intellectual Freedom Committee discussed the critical role of libraries in civic engagement and democracy. They highlighted voter registration, community forums, Census participation, helping patrons discern credible information, and much more.
