LEAN INTO LEADERSHIP FOR 2021
Now is the time that we start planning to fill open and expiring terms on various leadership roles throughout ILF for 2021. Terms are generally for two years. We have OPEN seats needing ILF members to lean into leadership!
  • Committees - Advocacy, Ad Hoc Committee on Racial Justice and Inclusion, Book Awards (need for Read Aloud Indiana and readers for YHBA and Rosie nominations), Communications, Intellectual Freedom, Professional Development
  • Division Leadership Teams - Management, Public Services (relaunching this--yay!), Youth Services, Technical Services
  • Affiliation Advisory Boards - AISLE, IPLA, IALA, ILSTA
  • Workgroups - Small groups work on specific tasks, such as updating the AISLE Rubric, Broadband Adoption Task Group, and Remote assistance from the library (telehealth, legal assistance, court access).

Birth and Retirement
Middlebury Community Public Library Director Terry Rheinheimer is excited to announce her new grandson, Dino (Rolando Dennis). Terry is looking forward to spending time with him this month as she retires after many years with the library. Terry served on the ILF Advocacy/Legislative Committee for years, including as the federal legislative advocate.

Retirements
  • Helen Leinbach, North Webster Public Library Director will be retiring at the end of the year.
