Healthcare Innovation Program Associate

MeHI is hiring for a Program Associate position. The Program Associate works to support multiple projects and programs within the Healthcare Innovation team. The Program Associate is responsible for assisting with program operations, which includes stakeholder management, business analysis, topical research and writing, and all necessary analytical, technical and administrative processes. S/he assists with developing and coordinating all program-related activities, including stakeholder communication and inquiries. The Program Associate reports to the Senior Program Manager, Innovation at MeHI and works closely with all members of the MeHI Healthcare Innovation team, with the MassTech communications, marketing, and finance teams, as well as other staff and external stakeholders as required to ensure that all program activities are tracked and smoothly implemented.

The Program Associate will develop a competency in relevant digital health, aging, caregiving, and behavioral health efforts and work closely with the Senior Program Manager for Innovation at MeHI and staff from MassTech corporate and other divisions, external vendors, and stakeholders in the Massachusetts digital health and healthcare communities.

• Bento, a tech-driven dental insurance company based in Boston, secured $8.1M in Series A funding to continue expanding oral healthcare benefits.

• FemTec Health announced its acquisition of Nutrimedy, a clinical nutrition company with offices in Brookline and Worcester.

• Boston-based Healthy.io received FDA clearance for its at-home chronic kidney disease test.

• Biofoumis added another $20 million to its Series D round, bringing its total raise to $320 million.

• Waltham-based connectRN's CEO spoke with BostInno about how the company is reshaping the health care labor market.

Healthcare Robotics Startup Catalyst Program

The 2nd Healthcare Robotics Startup Catalyst program will connect selected healthcare robotics startups with senior-level mentors from organizing companies. The program will help the growing firms connect with potential customers, investors, suppliers, marketing, and more. The program was launched by MassRobotics along with robotics sector leaders Festo, Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc., MITRE, and Novanta Inc.

Startups are encouraged to apply by September 9, 2022.

Med Tech Conference

This fall, The Med Tech Conference by AdvaMed will bring executives from around the world to Boston. MeHI's Chief Investment Strategist Ben Linville-Engler is part of the 2022 Host & Local Committee for the event, which features a cross-section of the top leaders from healthcare, biotech, academia, finance, and technology. The event will be held October 24-26, 2022 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and will feature world-class plenary speakers, cross-cutting educational programming, and valuable networking and business development opportunities.

EforAll Cape Cod Healthy Communities Pitch Contest

Do you have a business or non-profit idea within the theme of healthy communities and/or health equity?

Entrepreneurship for All is hosting a pitch contest on Friday, November 2, 2022 from 6:30pm-9:00pm. The event will help early-stage entrepreneurs gain valuable exposure and feedback.

Network, validate a business idea, and compete to win a cash prize. A total of four cash prizes will be given out (1st place $1000, 2nd place $750, 3rd place $500, as well as a $500 Fan Favorite prize). The event is free for entrepreneurs to apply and free for all to attend. The deadline to apply is October 17, 2022 at 12:00pm.
