The 40 days of Lent 2024, not counting Sundays, began on Feb 14 (Ash Wednesday) and ends on Mar 30 (the Saturday before Easter.) This time represents the forty days Jesus suffered in the wilderness, enduring temptations and remaining close to God through fasting and prayer. A Chamblee First UMC tradition … join us on the front lawn for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt. All participants are asked to register here, so we can keep you informed of event info or possible weather delays.

Planning is underway and we would love your help. If you have gifts and talents you would like to share in the planning and execution of this EPIC celebration, contact Linda King. Currently, we need folks who like to organize and go through historic documents. Moving forward we will need many talents - filing, sorting, digitizing old documents, locating previous members, decorating, interviewing, audio/video editing, and much more. This will be a momentous and memorial event to celebrate our past and launch us into the future!!

Confirmation marks the time when a baptized Christian becomes a professing member of the local congregation and The United Methodist Church. Get to know a little bit more about the seven wonderful young people from CFUMC's 2023 confirmation class!
