Parenting Moments
presented by Healthier Urban Families at Wayne State University
October 2021
Fall has officially arrived and has brought with it many shifts. Kids are in school or virtual/hybrid learning and most workplaces have returned to some degree of in-person service delivery. Please see last month's issue for ideas on establishing family routines. This month's resource section provides you with information to frequently asked questions about Covid including information about the booster vaccine.  We also give ideas on getting outdoors and enjoying the crisp days of fall with your family! Please take time to recognize World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2021. In this issue you are encouraged as parents and caregivers of children to consider mental health as part of child well-being. Children need our support when there are emotional and mental health challenges as much as they do when there are physical challenges. Included is information on seeking assistance for your child and taking care of yourself.
