Dr Richard Cross Owner
Being able to provide quality comprehensive eye care to his patients without constraints or limits was what propelled Dr. Richard Cross to open his own vision care business over 20 years ago.  Active in research studies exploring eye health and on various community boards, Dr. Cross also founded the  Eye Health Institute  in 2001, a nonprofit providing free vision services to the poor of Jamaica. When Dr. Cross first decided to open his business, he needed financing and found Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF). See  how this community-minded entrepreneur financed his business for maximum impact here with help from CEF.

The 2016 CEF annual report is fresh off the press and ready to view online and in print. This issue highlights milestones from our 40th anniversary year, as well as the success of five borrowers around the state: Dragonfly Apparel, Early Success Academy, Fortuna Chocolate, The Kitchen Pantry and The Roost

See our financial growth since 2014 showing increases in loan volume and amounts, the diversity of entrepreneurs getting financing, the number of the jobs created and retained, plus improvements borrowers made when they worked with our Business Acceleration Services (BAS) team to grow their business skills.

Meet the  board members  and funders who help CEF staff serve more businesses each year. We thank you for working with us to make your dream of small business ownership come true!

annual impact reporting in february

Next month, CEF borrowers will receive an email invitation to complete their required annual reporting via Survey Monkey. This brief survey will ask some general questions about how your business performed in 2016 in terms of jobs and revenue, as well as your opinion on how well we met your needs with financing and business technical assistance. Your individual responses will be kept confidential. The data is used collectively as we report to our funders who hold us accountable to making an impact through loans and consulting. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey which is required of all borrowers. Thanks in advance for your help!
