The Arts-World Project takes DSOTA's vision global!
Destin School of the Arts will begin an exciting new program in September called The Arts-World Project! DSOTA will be working with the administrators and teachers at Jacob's Ladder Preschool to connect their four and five year old students (65 in total!) with fellow preschool students all the way in Hermanus, South Africa for a school year long arts and cultural exchange project!
Throughout this school year, the students at Jacob's Ladder here in Destin, FL will be learning about the customs, arts, and culture of the students attending the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley Preschool in Hermanus, South Africa! As they have chosen to participate in this program as well, the teachers and children at the Hemel-en-Aarde Preschool in South Africa will be learning about those same aspects of customs, arts, and culture that are apart the life of the students here in Destin, Florida, USA! Destin School of the Arts will be leading instruction weekly for Jacob's Ladder Preschool's VPK and K5 classrooms, and will also be providing supplies, original curriculum, and weekly lesson plans to the preschool teachers in South Africa!
Our goal for all of the children participating in the DSOTA's Arts-World Project is to instill them how each one of us in this great big world are more similar to one another than we realize while celebrating the aspects of our arts, culture, and daily life that make us unique and beautiful ! This promises to be a year of discovery, joy, understanding, inspiration, and bonding for all of these wonderful students and teachers alike!

Elementary Arts Enrichment
DSOTA provides a one of a kind, well-rounded arts education curriculum that allows young artists to explore the arts in a way that encourages their talent, hones their personal arts interests, and utilizes their enthusiasm to try new things in a safe, fun, energetic, and inspiring environment! Our expert instruction comes from a monthly rotating team of amazing artists, each with personal & professional experience in the arts unit of focus, who are dedicated to planning and executing this highly unique, immersive program. Transportation from Destin Elementary School as space allows!

Price: $65 per month, Sept '18-May '19
Class Days: Tues. 3:30-4:15 or
Thurs. 3:30-4:15

Pre-K Arts Enrichment
As DSOTA’s signature arts education program, Pre-K Arts Enrichment allows our littlest artists to explore the arts in a way that encourages their natural gifts and abilities while capturing their enthusiasm to try new things in a safe, fun, creative environment! In our Pre-K Arts Enrichment class, students meet once a week, on either Tuesday or Thursday afternoons, where they will experience, create, and learn about a multitude of mediums in the world of the fine arts, (such as music, painting, sculpture, theatre arts, and more!) from our amazing Production Team of artists! This class is guaranteed to delight your preschooler!

Price: $60 per month, Sept '18-May'19
Class Days: Tues. 2:30 or
Thurs. 2:30 p.m.
Classes begin September 4th!
ACT ONE!
Act One is a children's theatre class taught by the highly qualified instructors at Destin School of the Arts & welcomes performers from the 3rd - 6th Grade. This high energy, creative class will not only provide young actors with an introduction to the magic & fun of the theatrical arts, but will also aid in advancing their developmental milestones through encouraging:

  • Reading Comprehension

Class Day: Mondays, 4:15-5:00 p.m .

Talking Hands
 This 10 week course is an introduction to American Sign Language for Preschoolers. Specifically designed to be fun and interactive for our youngest artists, this class also works to reinforce our Preschooler’s letter recognition, spelling, and builds their vocabulary. Sign language gives children another option for sharing their feelings while teaching them a beautiful way to communicate!

Price: $50 per month, Sept – Nov ‘18
Class Days: Mondays, 2:30 p.m.

DSOTA DANCE
ANNOUNCING NEW DANCE CLASSES!
 
DSOTA's ballet classes will teach new dancers how to point their toes, twirl, and leap to new heights while building a strong foundation in the beautiful art form of dance! Meeting each week, these dancers will enhance their development in balance, coordination, and poise while encouraging self esteem and social interaction!

Pre-K Ballet - $60 per month
Beg. & Primary Ballet $65 per month,
Class Day: Wed., 3:30 & 4:30
*Dress code strictly enforced.

TUTU CUTE!

Destin School Of the Arts is excited to announce that we have added a new ballet class to our DSOTA Dance roster for our tiniest dancers ! “Tutu Cute” is an early introduction to ballet specifically tailored for our 2 and 3 year old dancers who just can’t wait to slip on their ballet shoes and dance!

$50 per month
Class Day: Wed., 10:45-11:15 a.m.
*Dress code strictly enforced.
