Foellinger Foundation Celebrates Completion of North Parking Lot
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Scheduled for Monday, October 27, at 3:30 PM
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Foellinger Foundation will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, October 27th, at 3:30 PM to celebrate the completion of its new North Parking Lot, located at the corner of Berry and Clay Streets in downtown Fort Wayne. The investment transforms what was formerly a gravel lot into a paved, well-lit, and community-friendly space that enhances the surrounding East Central neighborhood.
The redesigned lot provides improved parking access for nonprofit partners such as Cinema Center and Fort Wayne Dance Collective and will support downtown events and activities that bring people together. In addition to the upgraded parking area, the project includes a new walking path, modern lighting for nighttime safety, and a green space designed to accommodate outdoor movie screenings and small gatherings hosted by Cinema Center—enhancing accessibility and fostering a more connected, vibrant community.
“At Foellinger Foundation, we believe in championing opportunity in ways both big and small,” shared Sarah Strimmenos, President and CEO. “This parking lot sits at the entry to the East Central neighborhood and is right across the street from our office. We’re excited to enhance the beauty of our neighborhood with this project—offering free parking, new green space, and a welcoming spot for our neighbors and friends.”
