2019 marks the 50 th edition of the Folklorama Festival! It’s pretty amazing to reflect back on the moments, stories, memories, and joy that the Festival has brought to hundreds of thousands of patrons, visitors and volunteers!

The first Folklorama Festival took place in celebration of Manitoba’s centennial in 1970, and at that time it was intended as a one-time event, but decades later we are proud to say we are the world’s largest and longest-running multi-cultural Festival.

We have a lot planned this anniversary year including the kick off party to our golden anniversary, "THE GREAT MANITOBA SOCIAL" sponsored by Pattison Outdoor Inc., at the RBC Convention Centre on Saturday, March 16 from 8 pm to 1 am. Learn more here !

Other 50 th Anniversary events that take place throughout the year will be highlighted on our social media channels and of course right here, in Llama Tales.
