This Sunday NO Follow Me!

November 27, 2022

Follow Me returns next Sunday!

We'll begin the unit called Go Tell on Sunday, December 4. We'll talk about all sharing the good news of our faith. We hope you'll join us in Fellowship Hall at 9:00 AM this Sunday!

Coming up:

12/4 Go Tell: Tell the Right Story

12/11 Go Tell: Break the Good News

12/18 Go Tell: Join the Chorus

12/25 NO Follow Me

1/1 NO Follow Me

But then...

Beginning January 8, Follow Me will happen every Sunday through Memorial Day weekend (except Easter Sunday). Mark your calendars! (And don't forget to sign up to help lead so we can offer this each week.)

Kids' Church This Sunday!

Kids' Church happens this Sunday in rooms 204/205. On scheduled weeks, any children who would be more comfortable in an age-accessible worship experience are invited to head to Kids' Church, upstairs in rooms 204/205, after the second reading, guided by shepherds from both the chapel and the sanctuary.

(the most direct path to 204/205 is to walk through the double doors at the end of the north hall along the outside of the sanctuary, go up one-and-a-half flights of stairs, and then through one more set of double doors)

The calendar of Kids' Church dates follows below. Contact Pastor Nicole with any questions.

Kids' Church is designed for children ages 4 through 4th grade to become familiar with the rhythms and components of worship, all in accessible terms, and happens from 10:20 AM - 11:00 AM on Sunday mornings. Bring your children with you to worship at 10:00 AM and, then, those who wish to participate in Kids' Church will be escorted to rooms 204/205 following the second Scripture reading. When you pick them up, you'll receive a summary of what we did so you can talk with your kids about what they experienced and learned.

On Sunday, November 20, our junior high and senior high students learned more about the needs of unhoused people as we made Blessing Bags to have with us when our families are out-and-about this holiday season, so we might be ready to encounter someone in need. We have about a dozen extra for anyone who wishes to come pick one up from the container in the Narthex.

And, if you would like to make your own, here's a helpful checklist, compiled with the wisdom of, a woman who has experienced housing insecurity. You can read the full blog post on making blessing bags here.
