This weekend, restaurants and bars across the state eagerly welcomed guests back for indoor service for the first time since mid-March.

Public health guidelines - including social distancing, occupancy restrictions, masks for diners and team members, and more - must be adhered to in order to keep our industry on a safe and steady path to reopening and recovery.

While Illinois has led the country in COVID-19 case decreases, several cities and states across the U.S. have taken steps to slow their reopening plans or revert to complete industry shut downs due to spikes in cases.

None of us want the state of Illinois to take a step backwards. In order for Illinois to continue to gradually and safely move forward with reopening, our restaurants and bars must follow public health guidance and restrictions to keep customers and team members safe.
