EXCELLENCE in ACTION

A message from the Provost

Educators and students have a common goal: commencement. Our students are graduating prepared to lead their industry. They are the reason our institution exists, and it must always be our goal for them to leave our campus as the next generation of the best and brightest in their chosen field.

We ourselves are a network of leaders. Just look at the Library's Kay Coates, who was just featured on an episode of the Library Leadership Podcast on exploring compassion satisfaction. She also teamed up with the Library's Jessica Garner as virtual keynote presenters for the Three Rivers Regional Library System Staff Development Day.

I was thankful to participate with Dr. Christopher Curtis in the "Soaring to Research Excellence" luncheons in partnership with the Faculty Senate. I give thanks to Dr. Ed Mondor for giving us the opportunity. Partnerships like the one between the Provost Office and Faculty Senate truly make a difference. One way to engage with leadership is to raise questions. We are here to support you. Part of being an effective leader is to listen and to engage.
