Former Mayors of Chico Rally to Support Republican Coolidge for Assembly
The most prominent former Republican Mayors of Chico have endorsed one of their own for California State Assembly District #3.
Andrew Coolidge, a rare two-term conservative Mayor (four years) and former councilmember (four years) for the City of Chico, recently announced his run for Assembly. Former Chico Mayors Sean Morgan, Georgie Bellin, and Dan Herbert have formerly endorsed Andrew for the position.
Coolidge is a lifelong resident of the district, born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area before moving to Chico to attend California State University, Chico. Besides being heavily involved in politics in high school and college (he was the youngest member of the Yuba County Republican Central Committee and also the Chair of District 15/NorCal Region of the College Republicans), Coolidge has spent his life working to elect Republicans to local office for over 35 years.
Coolidge also operates an event production business that organizes community events across Butte, Yuba, and Sutter Counties. His efforts have generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for community events in the region, while donating to more 100 nonprofit organizations including FFA, 4-H, Girl Scouts, youth athletic programs, and many others.
"I am proud to have the support of my colleagues and former Mayors of Chico," said Coolidge, "It is an honor to have their endorsement."
