THANK YOU to the members of the Navarumsunk Auxiliary for a very successful Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show! A record number of guests turned out for the annual event on Wednesday, May8th, to shop the boutique, take a chance on dozens of gift baskets and enjoy the fabulous fashions of Le Papillon women's boutique in Rumson. Models walked the runway while guests enjoyed lunch. Special guest, New Jersey State Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso (13th district), presented each of the models with a special citation in recognition of their volunteer service. Learn More.

This is always a bittersweet time of year for FCS Volunteer Services. Our school-based Senior Corps program, Reading Buddies and Healthy Buddies have drawn to a close for the school year. More than 1,500 children at 16 Monmouth County public elementary schools benefit from the two programs which place adult volunteers in the classroom to read aloud to students and share important information about healthy eating. On the last day of Health Buddies this year, students were treated to a special snack pack filled with healthy foods to enjoy in the classroom. They were also tested on their knowledge of "Go, Slow and Whoa foods." Reading Buddies students received an FCS drawstring backpack with a brand new book tucked inside to read at home during the summer months. Thank you to all of our 160+ RSVP volunteers!
