The sun was shining and the joy and hope of the Easter season was palpable, last Sunday.
 
With 100’s joining us online, it was wonderful to see more and more people joining us for worship in person. The children handed out flowers to all the women in our community, and lots of smiling faces were captured for friends and family portraits on Mothers Day!

Coming Up at St. Paul's
Communion and Community
May 15

Why do we have Holy Communion (the Eucharist) on Sundays, why do we do it the way we do, what do all the parts mean and how can this transform my life?
 
The children and teens of our community will start the morning in Children and Youth Ministry and will be joining the clergy in the second half of the service for interactive learning about Holy Communion - and we think the adults will learn a lot as well! 
 
This â€śInstructed Eucharist” will be during both the 9:30 and 11am services and we would love to have you join.
After the 9:30 service there will be a light brunch and after the 11am service there will be a light lunch available in Cody Hall. If you would like to join either the brunch or the lunch, please RSVP by end of day this Thursday, and answer the appropriate questions so we can make sure we have enough food.
Pre-Marriage Course

Engaged or considering marriage? Join the next session of the Pre-Marriage Course at St. Paul’s!
 
This course is designed to help you think through and prepare for married life together. It is required for couples who wish to get married at St. Paul’s, but is open to anyone who is interested.
 
The first session will be in-person at St. Paul’s and includes dinner, 6:30-9:00pm, Tuesday May 31. Four additional online sessions will occur weekly on Wednesday nights in June.

Senior's Spring Tea
June 9

See some old friends and make some new ones!  On June 9 from 2-4pm our senior community will be gathering at the church for a spring celebration with conversation, encouragement, tea, and sandwiches! Please note there is a $5 cover charge.

Join the Fun in Children's Ministry!
Are you enthusiastic? Do you enjoy hanging out with children? Are you excited to see young people following Jesus? Consider joining the Children’s Ministry Team!
 
Most volunteers serve just once a month during our Contemporary or Classical services. We provide excellent teaching materials and organize everything before Sunday mornings, all you have to do is show up.

The Denise Fund
Disability and poverty should not be a death sentence. The government should be readier to help someone live than to die.
 
This is the story of Denise, a Toronto woman whose request for MAID (medical assistance in dying) was approved before her request for better living conditions.
 
We, as a Christian community, can say that Denise along with many others are made in the image of God and is of infinite worth and we can back it up with our actions.

Congratulations Reverend Ben Tshin!
Congratulations to the Reverend Ben Tshin, who was ordained a Deacon (step before becoming a priest) by Bishop Asbil on May 1st at St. James Cathedral. 
 
Ben (and his wife, Julia) will be joining our clergy team on June 1st, thanks to a generous grant from the Diocese of Toronto.
