Give Back Day

September 21st

Shreveport-Bossier's favorite quesadilla restaurant Dillas is giving back this Thursday, September 21st during Hunger Action Awareness Month. Eat at any of the Dillas locations all day on Thursday and 10% of sales go directly to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. Last year Dillas gave back $2,000 to the food bank! Make sure to go in, drive thru, or pick up Dillas on Pierremont Rd., E. Bert Kouns, and Airline Dr. from 10am - 9pm to help give back.

2023 SBC Zombie Walk: Zom•Beatz!

The 2023 SBC Zombie Walk: Zom•Beatz is Saturday, October 14th 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the East Bank District & Plaza.

The SBC Zombie Walk is hosted the the Bossier Arts Council. You can support the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana by donating canned food and nonperishable foods. It's a no-brainer that our mission is to serve as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana. You can help us one can at a time.

The SBC Zombie Walk includes the Macabre Vendor Market, the Creative Costume Contests, Door Prizes, Live Music, Games, Food Trucks, and more.

Shreve Memorial Library's Amnesty Days:

100 Day Food Drive

Shreve Memorial Library is celebrating its centennial anniversary by hosting the Amnesty Days 100 Day Food Drive supporting the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

From Monday, September 11th to Tuesday, December 19th, you can bring a non-perishable food donation to any of the Shreve Memorial Library branches and have your fines, fees and charges waived. Each donation can equal up to $5 in fines. Please note that amnesty does not apply to charges for lost or damaged Nintendo Switch consoles or hotspot devices.

Turkey Trot 2023

November 24th

The Sportspectrum’s Turkey Trot 5K Run and Fun Run is Thanksgiving morning on November 24, 2023!

You can start your Thanksgiving morning by running with friends and family and supporting the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. Rain or shine, it's turkey time! The Children's fun run starts at 8:00 am, and the Turkey Trot follows at 8:30 am at Stoner Boat Launch.

The Turkey Trot proceeds provides food to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

You can register using the link on our website or at Sportspectrum. Walk ups are welcome on race day.
