Today, I read a quote by Richard Rohr that struck me and could be applied to our work. Here it is:
"Way back in the fourth century, Augustine said, 'The church consists of the communion of the whole world.' In other words, wherever there is communion, that's the church. Wherever there is love, that's where God is."
Of course, this is coming from my faith tradition but I think it can be said broadly that our coming together to serve homeless families is an act of love and that love is the greatest power.
We are grateful that you take the risk to come together, to love those who are different from you and those who are in need, and to continue to faithfully serve unselfishly. Thank YOU!
