  • President Trump announced a 90-day pause on most U.S. country-specific tariffs (excluding China), with a 10% baseline tariff applied during the interim to encourage trade negotiations with over 75 countries.
  • The European Union responded by suspending its planned retaliatory tariffs on U.S. products, worth up to €26 billion, giving both sides time for negotiation.
