Friday, Nov. 11 9:00 pm
Friday's Bill Morrison Retrospective includes BASEBALL FILMS FROM THE DAWSON CITY FIND (2022, 20 min) with a live score by Duo Extempore (Evan Jagels, bass and Nicole Brancato, piano). Bill Morrison, multi-media artist and filmmaker, crafts movies that embrace long-forgotten archival footage and overlooked images that he culls from many sources.

And there's snacks! French Fry Bar, Popcorn, and Candy. Cash bar.

Thomas Edison Film Festival (TEFF) Executive Director Jane Steuerwald presents seven award-winning short films from France, the Netherlands, the UK and the US. The films explore the Glimmerglass Film Days theme CONNECTION.

TEFF was formerly called the Black Maria Film Festival.

Chris Davis' work-in-progress documentary about Charles Singleton and his family focuses on the importance of preserving and passing on stories to the next generation. Gretchen Sorin will lead a discussion with filmmaker Chris Davis and film subject Krystal Singleton.

Shorts include: GRUBA KASKA (Fat Kathy), a Polish short doc about how eight clams are used to protect the city's water supply. You'll learn about artist-welder Mariola Wawrzusiak-Borcz and what she can create with found scrap metal in the Polish short RUST, and in the US short THE PANOLA PROJECT see how Dorothy Oliver's gentle but dogged persistence helped protect her small town in Alabama.
