Meet Aaron Miller

Aaron truly “gets it”. As the owner/operator of a diversified farming operation with a poultry broiler farm, beef cattle and grain, Aaron has walked in his customers’ shoes. With over 20 years in the lending business, he still finds the onsite visits one of the most enjoyable parts of the process. Meeting the customer, seeing the operations and learning the “why” behind their plans helps him bring all the pieces together. Nothing makes him happier than helping a customer achieve their goals and knowing that he was able to play a role in the process.

Aaron’s work ethic and leadership extend beyond his work at FFB. His family participates in a variety of activities, plus donate their time to their church and community, including the local Farm Bureau.

Mint Chocolate Poke Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box devil's food cake mix
  • ingredients to make the cake: eggs, oil, and water (use the amounts given on the cake mix box)
  • 2 (3.9 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk (I used whole milk)
  • 8 ounce tub whipped topping
  • ½ teaspoon mint extract
  •  green food coloring
  • ¼ cup chopped Andes mints

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the cake mix and bake per the directions on the back of the box.
  3. When the cake comes out of the oven, take a wooden utensil handle or something similar and poke holes all over the cake, about 1 inch apart.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the pudding over the cake, making sure to pour it as much as possible into the holes. Spread it all out, and using the back of the spoon, gently push the pudding down into the holes.
  6. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours to set.
  7.  In a medium bowl, stir together the whipped topping, mint extract, and food coloring until there are no streaks, and it reaches your desired color.
  8. Spread the whipped topping on top of the cake and place it in the refrigerator again for 2 hours or longer to set.
  9. When ready to serve, add chopped Andes mints for garnish. Slice and serve.
