The first school buses have already rolled out, and just like that, a new season is beginning. Fall is on the horizon- and with it comes a renewed sense of energy and purpose here at Loudoun Hunger Relief.

We’re excited to share what’s happening this month: support from Harris Teeter during Back to School week, two special events benefitting LHR, the wonderful honor of being named Loudoun’s Favorite Nonprofit/Community Organization, and the kickoff of our Thanksgiving Dinner Bag Food Drive.

Did you know? Last year we distributed more than 3,500 Thanksgiving Dinner Bags! That’s 14,000 holiday meals and over 38,500 pounds of food shared with our neighbors. That's one meal a year. Families in need in Loudoun come to LHR for many meals each month. With your help, we can make an even greater impact this holiday season and throughout the year.

Join us at Lost Rhino Brewing Company and Support LHR!

Join us for a night of fun at Lost Rhino Brewing Company on Thursday, August 28! During their Trivia Night, 10% of all food and beverage sales will be donated to Loudoun Hunger Relief. Bring your friends, test your knowledge, and raise a glass—every bite and sip helps support food access for families across Loudoun.

For the seventh year in a row, our friends at Harris Teeter sponsored Back to School Week at LHR. With their help, we were able to provide extra protein to Loudoun County families with children going back to school this Fall.

Join us on September 11, 2025 for a memorable evening in support of our community at Loudoun Empty Bowls, hosted at the beautiful Stone Tower Winery. For the price of your ticket, enjoy a delicious dinner of soup, bread, and dessert while taking in the sweeping vineyard views.

During the evening, select a unique, handcrafted bowl to take home—a lasting reminder of the many neighbors who face empty bowls each day.

All proceeds benefit Loudoun Hunger Relief, Dulles South Food Pantry, and the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS).
