Hello Friends!

By tomorrow morning, LHR will have distributed around 3,925 Thanksgiving Dinner Bags within our community. Of those, 1,600 were given to our LCPS parent liaisons for families in need within their school communities and senior adult housing—a significant increase compared to previous years. The remaining bags were distributed directly by LHR.

That means 15,700 residents of Loudoun will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal thanks to the generosity of our community!

Throughout November, while collecting and distributing Thanksgiving Dinner Bags alongside our regular food drives and services, we have been reminded of the kindheartedness of our community here in Loudoun.

Earlier this month, Loudoun Hunger Relief was humbled and honored to receive both the Nonprofit of the Year Award and the Small Business of the Year Award from the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. These awards are a testament to the incredible efforts of everyone involved with LHR—donors, staff, volunteers, and partners.

On this most gratitude-filled holiday, we wish you warmth, fellowship, and good food. Our hearts are certainly full.

Thank you for helping us provide these same things to the neighbors we serve.

CELEBRATING LHR AND YOU!

LHR is proud to be the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce

2024 Nonprofit of the Year AND the 2024 Small Business of the Year. We are proud to be in the company of each nominee and finalist.

YOU are part of the team that won these awards.

Our donors, volunteers, supporters, staff and partners all contribute to a whole that truly is more than the sum of its parts.

Congratulations to YOU!

GIVING THANKS

Let us not take for granted the joy of a shared meal.

So many individuals and groups have contributed to a wonderful holiday season, that we can't begin to list them all. From the donations of one Thanksgiving Dinner to one thousand, so many people have given to ensure our neighbors have a lovely Thanksgiving. We are so grateful to each of you for caring and helping!

We want to thank a few sponsors of our November activities and events.

THANK YOU SCOUTING FOR FOOD!

This year, our local Boy Scouts collected 12,500 pounds of food to help those in need in our community! Thank you to the kids and their volunteering grown-ups for all that hard work!

'Tis The Season To Give

Please consider making a year-end gift to Loudoun Hunger Relief. If you're unsure what to give that "hard-to-shop-for" person in your life, we can gladly send a card notifying them of your gift made in their name.

We rely on individual donations for the majority of our funding, which allows us to distribute over 2.5 million pounds of food each year and serve between 14,000 and 16,000 residents of Loudoun County. We take our responsibility to manage the resources you provide very seriously. It is an honor for us to act as a bridge between those who can help and those in need. Our financial statements are available for your review on our website.

If you or someone you know needs additional human services like rent or utility assistance, please go to the Loudoun County Information & Referral website for more details or call 703-777-0420! For additional food resources, please visit Loudoun Feeds.
