Dear Hawks Football Family:
After a challenging year that still resulted in our fifth conference championship in six years, we are looking forward to a more normal fall football season and a chance to welcome you back to W. James Samford Stadium! The legacy of Hawks football has always been one of champions, but last year, the players, family, alumni, and fans went above and beyond to solidify that Huntingdon not only excels in the face of adversity on the field but excels in the life and support for each other. We are grateful for the love you showed the team and coaches last year and every year. I can’t say thank you enough for your prayers, your donations, and your encouragement as you cheered from behind computer screens and phones. We felt your presence every step of the way.
We take our impressive legacy very seriously, as I know you do as well. Our home at Huntingdon College has a positive impact on student-athletes with an incredible education to enter to grow in wisdom and go forth to apply wisdom in service. We also thrive in the Cloverdale / Garden District neighborhoods that enjoy family days at our games. We are pleased to be one of the several Homecoming events that allows all alumni to enjoy the “home we love so well.” And we are in awe of our alumni team members and the families that stay connected to our program even after graduation.
But we’ve never been a champion team on our own, the football family has come together to give the men every opportunity to be champions. We hope we can count on your prayers and gifts again this year to help us move these hard-working athletes to a sixth title! During the month of September, the football team is Campaigning for Champions, and your generosity will impact the next phase of field house and locker room renovations.
