TRANSFER CELEBRATION AND HONORS CELEBRATION IS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17TH, 6-7:30PM IN THE DINING HALL!


Those of you who have been admitted to a university are invited, nay, encouraged to attend and participate so we can celebrate your accomplishment! However, you must fill out this form by June 6th! Follow the directions carefully, and we'll see you there!

UCLA invites students to join us for a special two-part webinar series designed to guide them through the blueprint for transferring to UCLA as they move from high school to a California Community College. 


Session 1: Transfer Admission Requirements

Wednesday, May 27, 4:30-5:30pm

Students will gain a solid understanding of what it takes to become a competitive transfer applicant. UCLA representatives will walk them through essential requirements, key timelines, and strategies to set them up for success from their very first term at community college.

Session 2: Student Resources & Transfer Experience

Wednesday, June 3rd, 4:30-5:30pm

Students will discover the wide range of academic and campus resources available to UCLA transfer students. They'll also hear directly from current UCLA transfers as they share their personal journeys, insights, and what life is really like on campus.

This series is an opportunity to get insider knowledge, ask questions, and build confidence in your students as they chart their path to UCLA. We encourage students to attend both sessions, if possible:

Distinguished Honors Scholar Certificate


For those of you who meet the criteria for the Distinguished Honors Scholar Certificate, make sure you submit the form and Service Learning Report by May 30th. Reminder: Your Service Learning Report must be at least 500 words.

We will have approximately 10 min if there are others waiting. If these drop in times, don't work for you, please schedule a 30-min appointment with any of the Honors Counselors.

AAPI HERITAGE MONTH EVENTS


May 26th, 12-1pm, Toyon Room: Short Film Screening: "Paper Daughter."


"Paper Daughter" is a stop motion animated short film about a young Chinese woman who grapples with the guilt of using the identity of a deceased girl to immigrate to the United States via Angel Island in 1926



May 27th, 4:30-5:30, Dining Hall: End-of-Year Celebration honoring scholarship winners and celebrating student success.


Come join APAN (Asian Pacific American Network) as we celebrate our end of the year celebration and honor our APAN scholarship winners and transferring students. Food and refreshment will be provided. Friends and family welcome!

Take Honors Classes in Buenos Aires, Argentina Next Year!


Applications are now being accepted for Foothill College's Spring 2027 9-week study abroad program in Buenos Aires, Argentina! Led by Foothill Honors Professors Sam Connell (Anthropology) and Brian Evans (Economics & Global Studies), the program will explore Empires & Colonies: Past & Present.


Students on the program take 12-15 units of UC/CSU-transferrable coursework offered by the Buenos Aires faculty. Fieldtrips and a 2-day excursion to Iguazú Falls are included in the program fee. Scholarships and financial aid available. Join an upcoming info session to find out more!
