You guys are all locked in, and so is your Honors Newsletter department. We hope you have a wonderful holiday break. In Honors World we are getting geared up for the Winter Quarter, so make sure that before you start celebrating the Winter holidays you make sure you are prepared for January 5th!

1. Jan. 12th Honors Connection Meeting: Honors Connection club meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays in January, so the first meeting of winter quarter will be January 12th Room 3305, Noon.
2. Now- Jan. 4th: Registration for Winter Quarter. Check out the Honors classes!
3. Intending to transfer this year? Applying to colleges this fall? Fill out the Intent to Transfer form for HTCC. (see below). IMPORTANT: If you are including UC Irvine, the deadline to update the form is DECEMBER 11th!
4. March 30th: Deadline to apply for Foothill College's Research and Service Learning Symposium.

especially in Anthropology (including Medical Anthropology) and English. Tell your friends about the awesome Honors classes and the perks of Honors scholarship!

Transfer

UCLA TAP Agreements

We will fill out UCLA tap agreements in January and they will be due by mid February. Step one of TAP ceritification is filling out the Application Agreement. Make sure you also read this important letter.

To further prepare, please make sure Foothill College has all of your official AP scores from the college board and college transcripts from any other college/university you've attended. These transcripts need to be evaluated. Go to our Evaluations department for more information and to submit your request for transcript evaluations ASAP!

The Honors Transfer Council

If you plan to transfer to an Honors Transfer Council of California Partner University, please fill this important form. VERY IMPORTANT: Under "Honors Director's Email," write "honors@fhda.edu."

Also, if you need to update the form to include transfer to UC Irvine, it must be done by December 11th.

Research

Research and Service Learning Symposium applications are now open! The symposium will be held on Thursday, May 21st at Foothill. This is an opportunity to showcase your research, service, leadership, and creative arts projects. Browse the RSLS Website for inspiration. Applications workshops coming this winter. Deadline to apply is March 30th.

Honors Transfer Council of California (HTCC) Building Bridges Research Conference is Saturday, March 28th at UC Riverside. The deadline to apply to present at the conference is December 15th, so if you have any research that is conference ready, go ahead and apply!

SAVE THE DATE! Honors Research Symposium, sponsored by the Bay Honors Consortium, will be at Stanford University on Saturday, May 2nd. Foothill has a long history of participating in this symposium and we encourage you to participate. The deadline to submit abstracts is February 17th. Watch this space for updates on applications and creating a competitive abstract.
