DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

The Committee on Shared Ministry partnered with the Foothills Presbytery Disaster Preparedness & Response Commission (DPRC) to create the April Mission newsletter.

The purpose of the Presbytery Disaster Preparedness & Response Commission (DPRC) is to direct and oversee the preparation for and response to a disaster on behalf of Foothills Presbytery to focus, align and coordinate resources toward areas of need.

We “assist congregations of Foothills Presbytery and their members with disaster preparedness and, in times of disaster, including but not limited to authorizing grants and disbursements of appropriate funds.”

In order to stay connected in times of disaster, the DPRC is asking every congregation in Foothills to name a point of contact for disaster related communication. This person should not be the pastor.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crises and catastrophic events.
