LIVE WEBINAR

One of Austin's most beloved reading series - One Page Salon - has gone virtual and teamed up with the Writers' League of Texas for a series of special monthly events featuring quick readings, feel good fundraising, and lots of literary shenanigans.

One Page Salon (called "the best literary evening in town" by the Austin American-Statesman) is the brainchild of novelist, screenwriter, and comedian Owen Egerton. For this special virtual event, five outstanding authors will read one page from a work in progress - which means the audience will be among the first to hear original new material from these talented writers. The brilliant and funny (and brilliantly funny) Owen Egerton will emcee.

THIS MONTH'S READERS: Chen Chen, Manuel Gonzales, Joanna Klink, Nina McConigley, and June's OPS lottery winner, Rachel Barchus!

All proceeds from this August event will go to support the organization People of Color in Publishing .

People of Color in Publishing  is a grassroots organization created by book publishing professionals dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uplifting racially and ethnically marginalized members throughout the industry, we seek to create a safe and inclusive space celebrating and promoting diversity. Through a planning committee and network of chaired subcommittees, we advocate and foster career development and advancement of people of color (including Native/Indigenous) professionals’ work. You can learn more, here .

DEADLINE TO RSVP: Saturday, August 1, 6:00 p.m. CDT
