Catholic Schools Week

Every year we have a week set aside to celebrate our Catholic Schools!  Each day during the week we have a planned event.  Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to Church, local communities and the nation.   This year's theme is Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.

Monday:Celebrating your Community- Participate in the Valentine Project that was created by a University of Toledo student.  We will sponsor 2 four year old children The Valentine Project
Tuesday:Celebrating our Nation: Dress in Red, White & Blue, 1 class will have the Pledge of Allegiance posted on FB through a live feed.
Wednesday:Celebrating our Students- Happy 100th day of school!  Celebrations will occur in each room.

Golden Apple Award

In light of the valuable contribution made by Catholic school teachers to the Church, and society in general, the Diocese of Toledo is able to demonstrate its appreciation through the Golden Apple Award program.  If you are impressed by your child's teacher, please take the time to nominate her to the Golden Apple Award Committee.  Last year, our very own Mrs. L was nominated and it was such an honor!  The Golden Apple Award recognizes dedication to service, professionalism and leadership!  Please think about our 7 lead teachers and feel free to nominate one!  Nominations are due to the office by February 1st.

                                                  Nominate us!
Due to the recent publication of underperforming Ohio public schools, many of our current families may be able to choose a private school for their child to attend Kindergarten rather than their assigned public school.  EdChoice has two programs that offer funds that can cover the cost of tuition at a Catholic School.  The first is traditional EdChoice which funds those who live in underperforming school districts like Larchmont, Whittier, DeVeaux, Old Orchard, Ottawa River, Riverside (total list link below).  The second is the EdChoice expansion which funds families who have limited income (similar to the Early Childhood Grants we have).  The first step is to register at a participating Catholic School and they will guide you  through the process. Come to the Kindergarten information night if you are interested in Blessed Sacrament and Regina Coeli K-8 schools. This topic will be discussed.

The first application period begins February 1 and ends April 30, 2019

Child Care Tax Statement

If you are a family new to our school in 2018, you can obtain a tax statement by logging into your Procare Account and printing a standard statement for the time period you need.  If you are a returning family, please let the office know that you need a tax statement.  Don't have a Procare Account yet?  Let the office know and we will send you a link or search your old emails for one that is titled "Introducing MyProcare".
St. Catherine of Siena Church

Our Parish will be having a Rose Procession during Mass on 1/27/19 during the 9 AM Mass.  If you would like to participate or have your child participate, please arrive to Mass at 8:45 AM and meet at the back of the Church for directions.
