WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Task Force and Steering Committee members are wearing their “Ask Me About the Block“ pins every Sunday. Find one before or after service — your questions and ideas are always welcome.

THE WORK UNDERWAY: A PROGRESS UPDATE

We know that many of you are following this process closely — and we want to make sure you have a clear picture of the work the Egleston Task Force has been doing on your behalf.

Since engaging North Ave as our project management firm and Perkins&Will as our architect, the Task Force has been meeting with both teams regularly. Here is a snapshot of where that work stands:

  • North Ave and Perkins&Will were introduced to the parish at a congregation-wide meeting earlier this year, along with information about the condition of Egleston and deferred maintenance needs across the All Saints' campus
  • Tours of Egleston were conducted for parishioners, giving the community a firsthand look at the building's current condition
  • A range of design concepts has been developed in close collaboration with Perkins&Will, each informed by the principles of the Master Plan and program needs identified through interviews and work sessions with the users — spanning options from preservation to new construction
  • Perkins&Will has worked with an extensive team of engineering consultants to develop design concepts and drawings at the level of detail needed for accurate and thorough pricing of each scenario
  • North Ave is working with two general contracting firms to price the scenarios — ensuring that the Task Force's recommendation to the Vestry is grounded in credible numbers

This is rigorous, thorough work — and it is being done with care, with transparency, and with the full range of options on the table.

A WORD ON THE GEORGIA TRUST

The Egleston Task Force recently received a submission from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. We are grateful for their ongoing communication with All Saints' and for the perspective they bring.

The Task Force has extended an invitation to the Georgia Trust to meet with them — so that we can hear their thinking in full, ask questions, and ensure their submission is thoroughly understood as we continue our work.

This is exactly the kind of open, good-faith dialogue that a decision of this magnitude deserves. We welcome all voices that are offered in the spirit of discernment — and we are committed to making sure every perspective is given the consideration it warrants.

No decision has been made. The Task Force remains focused on bringing the Vestry a thorough, well-informed recommendation — one that reflects the full range of input this process has received.

WHAT THE TIMELINE LOOKS LIKE

The Egleston Task Force is working toward a recommendation this summer. An announcement is expected in late summer. Every development will be shared with you as it happens.
