THIS SUNDAY IS PALM SUNDAY AND THE BEGINNING OF HOLY WEEK.

Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week in the Church, and this year both Eucharists at All Saints will again observe both the Liturgy of the Palms and the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The 8am service will begin in the front of the church where palms will be distributed and blessed.  After the palms are blessed and distributed, we will proclaim God's blessings for our journey with Our Lord through Holy Week as we process into the church singing All Glory, Laud and Honor. At the 10:30am service, we will meet at the outside altar in the courtyard where the palms will be blessed and distributed. Then during the singing of All Glory, Laud and Honor, all will process and stop at the front of the church for a Collect. At this time, the children are welcome to join Ms. Hillary for a special Children's Chapel. The kids will then be returned right before Eucharist. We will then proceed into the church with the processional hymn. Those unable to process into the church may receive palms from the ushers before each service and take their seat in the pews.

You don't want to miss one of the Holiest Days in the church!

SIGN UP FOR THE MAUNDY THURSDAY NIGHT VIGIL!

Jesus said to the Disciples, "I am deeply grieved...remain here and stay awake with me."

Beginning after the Eucharist on Maundy Thursday evening, April 17th, the church will be open all night until the sun rises on the morning of Good Friday, for prayer, meditation and holy silence in front of the special Altar of Repose in the sanctuary. Professional Security will be provided, giving all who would like to keep watch for an hour in front of the reserved sacrament this unique and deeply spiritual opportunity. If you would like to be part of the vigil, you can sign up this Sunday at the "Welcome Station" in the Narthex. You are also welcome to call the church office at 904-737-8488. We hope to again have at least one person per hour to keep watch with Jesus through the night. Morning Prayer on Zoom continues! EVERY MONDAY at 8am! ZOOM LINK HERE!

In many times and places, daybreak has been a time of prayer. Jews prayed in their synagogues at sunrise as well as at other times each day. This Jewish pattern of prayer formed the basis of the Christian monastic Daily Office, with its prayers or “hours” at seven times in each day. Thomas Cranmer’s revision of the Daily Office for the first English Prayer Book (1549) reduced the number of services to two - one for morning (Matins) and one for evening (Evensong or vespers). In the Second English Prayer Book (1552), the morning service was given its present name, Morning Prayer.

All Saints would love for you to join us on Monday mornings at 8 AM via Zoom to pray the service of Morning Prayer from the Daily Office. What better way to start your week than a sweet reminder that your days belong to God and that you are never alone? Just open up your computer or smart phone, and click HERE to join. The meeting ID is 864 6807 3272 and the passcode to enter the Zoom meeting is 469781 or just email Julia Suddath HERE for the Zoom invitation. You can also use Forward Movement's Daily Prayer resource HERE to see the liturgy and to read the assigned Bible readings for Morning Prayer.

Come and be nourished with the Word of God and prayer!
