FOR ALL THE SAINTS
February 11, 2021
The Season of Lent Begins with Ash Wednesday Next Week on February 17th!
Lent arrives a little early this year with Ash Wednesday next week on February 17th!
Ash Wednesday at All Saints will offer four opportunities to receive ashes and begin your Lenten fasts, at 7am, 9:30am (full Ash Wed Liturgy for people over 65 & with immunocompromised conditions), 12:10pm, and at 6pm. The 7am, 9:30am & 12:10pm services will be simple, spoken services with no music. The 6pm will have the full choir, and the All Saints C.R.E.W. (our junior youth group) will assist as readers and ushers. The 6pm Ash Wednesday service will be streamed live online on the All Saints Youtube Channel.

Fr. Donavan is also working to put together a special OUTDOOR Stations of the Cross this year to be offered on certain Friday during the lunch hour at 12:10pm. Look for more info on that next week. Inside the church at 12:10pm on assigned Fridays, Fr. Donavan will also lead the 5 Sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary, with Bible readings. Prerecorded versions of both the Stations of the Cross and the Rosary will be available online.

And finally, because we are still unable to have food and gather in the Parish Hall for our Lenten programs this year, Fr. Donavan hopes to offer an online Lenten Book Study via Zoom, as well as one or two Lenten Workshops inside the church on a few Saturdays in Lent. All of this will conclude this year with a full return to Holy Week and Easter services again, both inside the church and live online. Be on the lookout NEXT WEEK for a full schedule!
Upcoming
All Saints Annual Meeting will be ONLINE this year! New release date now set for Sunday, Feb. 21!
All Saints Annual Meeting usually occurs the first Sunday following the Annual Convention of the Diocese of Florida. In addition to Fr. Donavan's "State of the Church" report and the 2020 reports from the Treasurer, Junior Warden, & Senior, the Annual Parish Meeting also includes the presentation of the John Riley Service Award for 2021 and the drawing of names for both the All Saints Vestry and the Deputation for the 2022 Diocesan Convention. Due to the current COVID, Fr. Donavan and the Vestry have decided to pre-record this year's Annual Meeting and release it on the church YouTube Channel to make it more accessible to everyone. We are still working on getting the Annual Meeting recorded and available, along with the the Annual Report, and are now planning to have everything available by NEXT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21st.

There's still time to send your questions about the previous year to Fr. Donavan, the Treasurer, Patrick Dussinger, the outgoing Senior Warden, Garry Bragg, or the outgoing Junior Warden, Rick Alexander! Please send your questions HERE, and they will be included in the appropriate report.

Wednesday Holy Eucharist for those OVER 65 or Immunocompromised is back!
Because people over the age of 65 and people who are immunocompromised have the greatest chance of contracting COVID-19, All Saints is offering a worship service with more space for social distancing for those people only. This special Holy Eucharist is now every Wednesday at 9:30am!

We hope this special Eucharist provides the safest possible option for All Saints parishioners who are not yet comfortable coming to church on Sunday, but would still like the opportunity to receive Holy Communion from a priest with gloves and a mask. All rules and guidelines for Sunday's still apply to anyone who comes inside the church, but we hope this will make that even easier and provide more space for sitting inside the church at a wider, safer distance from others. If you have more questions, simply call the church or email Fr. Donavan here.
Bible Study! Every Wednesday after the 9:30
Holy Eucharist inside the church!
So many of our Thursday Bible Study attendees have been looking for a way to continue the chance to read and discuss the Bible safely in these uncertain times. With the reopening of the church for worship services, Fr. Donavan and Deacon Mark are now connecting our regular Thursday Bible Study to the Wednesday morning Holy Eucharist service for those over 65 and with immunocompromised conditions. This is allowing those who come into the church for Wednesday worship to STAY in their seats immediately after the service for the Bible Study.

Deacon Mark begins the Wednesday Bible Study every week at 10:15am, so please plan on bringing your Bible with you to the church this Wednesday to join the discussion! And if you know someone who might not be receiving the newsletter, please pass along the good news so they can join in the Bible Study, as well!
