Sterling Heights Man Arraigned for Murder of his Girlfriend

Mount  Clemens, MI - Today, a 42 year old Sterling Heights man was arraigned for murder after he was found in his vehicle with his deceased girlfriend in Roseville.


It is alleged that on Monday, November 13, 2023, Martin Yost beat his girlfriend to death.  He was found passed out in the driver's seat of his vehicle with his deceased girlfriend in the passenger seat.


Yost is charged with Second Degree Murder (life felony).  He was arraigned in Roseville District Court where Judge Alyia Hakim remanded Yost to the Macomb County Jail with no bond and no contact with the victim's family. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Wednesday,  November 29, 2023 at 8:30 am and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 8:30 am.
