OSSINING — Residents of Ossining have cause to celebrate as the Broadway Bridge is now open.

The 157-year-old bridge has been under construction as a result of New York State DOT having issued a “yellow flag” on the site for being structurally compromised. The Village was able to restore the visual architectural aesthetic of the bridge by using reclaimed bricks and historic mortar. Decorative lighting complements the Downtown fixtures. In the coming weeks the historically appropriate decorative railings will be installed.

The Village Board will be hosting a ribbon-cutting in January of 2020 and looks forward to celebrating with the community.
