Book Black Women, Inc. Announces Fiscal Sponsorship with Cool Spring Downtown District

Book Black Women, Inc., a Fayetteville-based cultural production organization, has officially entered into a fiscal sponsorship partnership with Cool Spring Downtown District, marking a significant step in the organization’s continued growth and long-term sustainability.


Founded by Ayana Washington, Book Black Women, Inc. is known for producing dynamic, artist-centered programming that uplifts marginalized communities in the arts through live performances, community events, and cultural initiatives. The organization has created a wide range of experiences across Fayetteville, from theatrical productions and concerts to signature programs.


The new partnership with Cool Spring Downtown District, a nonprofit organization established in 2017 to cultivate a thriving arts and entertainment hub in downtown Fayetteville, positions Book Black Women, Inc. for expanded impact. The district plays a central role in supporting arts, culture, and economic development, producing large-scale events and fostering collaboration among creatives, businesses, and community stakeholders.


Through this fiscal sponsorship, Book Black Women, Inc. will be able to:

  • Accept tax-deductible donations through an established 501(c)(3) partner
  • Strengthen access to grant funding and sponsorship opportunities
  • Expand its programming footprint throughout Fayetteville and surrounding communities

Together, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Fayetteville’s creative ecosystem and ensuring that diverse voices and artistic expression remain at the center of the city’s cultural landscape.
