“Take the first step in faith.
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” MLK
Greetings to you in the name of the Prince of Peace;
“Where have you experienced God lately?” How many times I have been asked that question over the past few months. We have been walking the journey of a pandemic; a journey we had never taken before. We were asking the larger questions around, “What will our church look like after this has passed?” Then the second pandemic. Not one where we can close our buildings and hunker down in our homes until it is safe to return. No – a pandemic that has dwelled among us for 400 years, ebbing and flowing and spiking, but never, ever going away.
You are working on a well-thought out strategy for returning to your buildings. The technical shifts that we will make are many, and we will do them well.
How about the second pandemic? What is your well-thought out plan to address the plague that has dwelled with us for 400 years?
You cannot unsee what you have seen.
Let us begin the conversation together at the Hudson River Presbytery’s first virtual presbytery meeting.
Tuesday June 9
we will gather together on ZOOM for worship and connection and conversation. Remember, to avoid “ZOOM bombing” and to facilitate voting, you MUST register in advance for this meeting. The deadline for registration is Sunday at 6pm.

We will be welcoming a special guest, the Co-Moderator of General Assembly Rev. Cindy Kohlman to personally commission our General Assembly commissioners. They are Rev. Jeff Geary (White Plains), Rev. Erin Moore (Chester), RE David Burpee (Bedford), RE Connie Knapp (Yorktown) and Young Adult Delegate Luke Torres-Rossi (Yorktown)
Clergy Connection ZOOMs every Wednesday at 10 have been both enriching and deeply prophetic. We’ve conversed around coronavirus, funerals, livestreaming, buildings, racism & privilege, and so many other topics. Join us as we continue to support each other in community.
There will be a ZOOM gathering on Monday June 15 at 10 for congregations who house preschools or daycare centers. Join us for the unique conversations that surround these important ministries. Invite your directors and Session representatives to be part of this too!
You are not alone on your journey. You have hard questions to ask. But we must ask them as we strive to create and recreate the church that Jesus Christ modeled for us
